Lory Laughter Dental Hygienists’ Alliance
The world of the dental hygienist is very small. Working only where a dentist is present is like asking a 12 year old to only tie their shoes when their parent is present. With over 100 years of clinical experience, it’s time to let dental hygienists free to work in all health care settings. The time couldn’t be more appropriate, with science showing us that managing the oral biofilm is important in cardiovascular health, respiratory health and even in pregnancy, it’s time dental hygienists work along side physicians, nurse practitioners, physical therapists and anyone one else who sees people with a mouth.
Today’s guest is Lory Laughter RDH, BS, manager of The Dental Hygienists’ Alliance.
