Darwinian Dental Hygiene with Timbrey Lind, RDH
Evolution is a big deal and takes tens of thousands of years to accomplish, or does it? Timbrey Lind talks to Shirley about the changes in the skull and what that means for living cavity free or lower the risk for periodontal disease.
Timbrey Lind has been practicing dental hygiene for about 8 years. She was the student who always asked too many questions in dental hygiene school and questioned everything which wasn’t always appreciated. She have always been health minded and thought there is not one cure for everything. There are a lot of working parts to a machine that runs smoothly and we need to be mindful of them all. What got her started on the health path in dental hygiene was Weston Price. She picked up that book and couldn’t put it down. Since then she has always had a drive for a more holistic approach to healing and has shared it with her patients and those interested. She is not a licensed nutritionist but have done her fair share of research and think nutrition is a HUGE part of systemic health. Then she found Oral Facial Myology, took a course, and they teach that nasal breathing is everything. It effects form and function and she see it every day in all of my patients. she currently treat OSA patients, kids, TMD- and myofunctional therapy has helped and improved every single one. My goal is to get back to the basics of where we started decades ago and get our health back.
